The applicators were developed in collaboration with a world-renowned cancer research and treatment institution, using an innovative balloon configurations to enable optimal positioning in multiple treatments
Both products are FDA 510(k) cleared and they are the subject of pending and issued patents.
AR-App™ Ano-rectal Applicator
Uniquely compliant design creates tissue separation and also allows exophytic tumors to press closer to the source catheters than healthy tissue, resulting in the ability to deliver a very high dose to the tumor, maintaining superior dose coverage of the target volume while sparing healthy tissue.
E-App™ Esophageal Applicator
Innovative balloon design to follow the contours of the anatomy, straight, curved or curved irregularly. Independently inflated balloons to create precise control for optimal positioning. Inflated balloons form a consistent tubular shape to allow the radiation source to be centered. Centering of the radiation source allows a uniform dose to be delivered, avoiding uneven dosage that creates burning on one side. Clear markings visible under X-Ray, MRI and CT Placement of applicator in optimal position is repeatable.
